Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update
March 20, 2020
As we all find ourselves in these unprecedented circumstances, it’s our responsibility to let you, our Stanfest family, know how we’re dealing with the ongoing novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Stanfest plays an important role in the health of our community in a number of ways. We’ve been watching closely for guidance from Canada’s Public Health Agency and the Province of Nova Scotia’s Chief Medical Officer.
Following recent recommendations from the Province, we will be closing our office (including our gift shop) to the public until further notice effective end-of-day Friday, March 20, 2020.
We remain strongly committed to delivering a memorable edition of the Stan Rogers Folk Festival this summer, if it is deemed safe to do so by public health authorities. Canso’s remote location presents unique challenges. We are in daily contact with our governmental and industry partners and will keep you informed as we know more.
You can reach us by phone (toll free) at 1 (888) 554-7826 and by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Take care of each other and stay safe. Check in with friends and family who are isolating. Support the musicians and other music industry professionals who are suffering from cancellations in whatever way you can.
