Kim Dunn

Nova Scotia

Born and raised in North Sydney, Cape Breton, and now based in the Halifax region, Kim Dunn has been working on a successful music career for 30 years now, with a four-year stint studying jazz at St. Francis Xavier University thrown in for good measure. For much of his career, Kim has been the versatile and essential sideman to a veritable “who’s who” of East Coast artists; notably, Kim spent 14 years as a member of Rita MacNeil’s band. In 2010, he decided to take his own brand of songwriting and singing to the forefront and released his first solo project, Take This Hammer. He followed that with his highly anticipated 2016 recording, Inspiration.
